Garlic Cheese Biscuits

My variation of a restaurant bread
Servings: 8 biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 c. baking mix like Bisquick or homemade mix
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • ½ c. cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ t. dried parsley optional
  • ¼ c. butter melted
  • ¼ t. garlic powder

Method

  1. Stir together baking mix, milk, cheese, and parsley until soft dough forms.
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick spray.
  3. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto baking sheet or parchment paper.
  4. Bake at 450° for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Mix butter and garlic powder; brush* over warm biscuits before removing from baking sheet. Serve warm.

Notes

A small new *paintbrush works fine in the kitchen to use for culinary uses. A famous seafood restaurant chain made these biscuits popular in the late 20th century. The effects of this popularity found pre-packaged mixes of these biscuits in the grocery stores and specialty stores. But, how easy is this recipe without buying the expensive
packages?! Plus, you can use real ingredients and few, if any, preservatives when you
make your own.
