Blueberry Congealed Salad, Retro Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 oz Black Cherry Jello or another type of berry jello
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple with juice
- 1 21 oz. can blueberry pie filling
- 2 8 oz. blocks cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 1 t. vanilla
- 16 oz. whipped topping, or whipped cream
- pecans, chopped, as desired
Instructions
- Combine gelatin mix with boiling water. Stir well. Add pineapple with juice and blueberry pie filling to gelatin mix. Stir well. Pour into rectangular glass or suitable dish.
- Refrigerate this layer until set.
- Combine cream cheese and sugar until well combined. Add sour cream and vanilla, mixing well.
- Spread cream cheese mixture over blueberry layer.
- Spread whipped topping or whipped cream over second layer and sprinkle with chopped pecans, as desired.
