Broccoli Salad

Broccoli Salad

Course Salad


  • 2 bunches broccoli
  • 1 package cherry tomatoes
  • ½ large red onion chopped
  • bacon cooked and chopped
  • apple cider vinegar
  • 1-2 T local honey
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper
  • shredded cheddar optional
  • raisins optional


  • Wash and trim fresh, preferably organic, broccoli
  • Wash cherry tomatoes. I do not halve them but you may wish to do so.
  • In a large bowl, mix 2 large splashes of Apple Cider Vinegar, honey, salt, pepper, and mayonnaise. The salad may need more mayo after adding broccoli mixture.
  • Add desired amounts of shredded cheddar and/or raisins to dressing mixture.
  • Add sunflower seeds as desired.
  • Add the broccoli mixture to the dressing mixture and refrigerate for a while before eating, if time allows.


This salad lasts for a few days and is great with dinner meals or lunch sandwiches.
