This ever popular dish can be made with homemade “cream of” soups and cooked, shredded potatoes, if you desire.

Classic Hashbrown Casserole
A comforting blend of shredded potatoes and cheese sauce, Hashbrown Casserole has been a classic on supper tables since the 1970s. The southern-based restaurant chain, Cracker Barrel, serves this casserole to millions of customers yearly.
Ingredients
- 30 oz. shredded potatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion OR 1/2 tsp. Onion powder if you do not prefer real onion
- 2 cans cream of soups
- 2 cups shredded cheese
Instructions
- Mix well and place in a 9 x 13 sprayed, baking dish
- Optional: you may sprinkle with shredded cheese and/or crushed cheese crackers
- Bake 350° for 30-40 minutes, or until brown and bubbly
