Autumn Menu Ideas 4

One idea for menu-planning is to plan a number of meals and then rotate them for a designated period of time.

This is a list of 20 meals from our kitchen during a fall not long ago. Use these ideas and build from them… (remember to add your vegetables)

  1. gumbo, crackers, potato salad, rice
  2. tomato soup, grilled cheese, sliced apples or fresh cider
  3. split pea soup, cheese biscuits and/or sausage pinwheels
  4. potato cheese soup, wheat bread
  5. kraut, polish sausage, fried apples, cornbread, mashed potatoes
  6. crock-pot roast with carrots, onions, potatoes; rolls
  7. hamburgers, buns, lettuce, onions; French fries
  8. Manwiches (from a can) or Momwiches (my creation), small buns, broasted potatoes, green salad
  9. meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, slaw, bread, green beans
  10. pizza (buy thin crust frozen pizza and add toppings and extra cheese before baking at home), apples
  11. macaroni and cheese, pinto beans, baby carrots, cornbread
  12. country ham and rolls
  13. spaghetti, peas, bread or crackers, shredded cheese (Skyline Chili style)
  14. spinach lasagna, corn, bread
  15. salmon patties, rice, roasted Brussels sprouts, rolls
  16. chicken and rice casserole, broccoli florets, slaw, beets
  17. sausage pinwheels, eggs, hashbrown casserole
  18. tator tot casserole, limas
  19. pork chops, kraut, potatoes
  20. creamed chicken on cornbread, Pumpkin Cookies (Amish recipe)
